BioEmme Cannon is a sonic force — a singer-songwriter whose fusion of alternative, folk, and razor-edged storytelling stirs souls and defies convention. Described as having a “hypnotizing voice and delivery” (The Roanoke Times), her smokey, untamed vocals carry haunting melodies that linger long after the final note.
On stage, Emme is magnetic—a lightning rod of energy and vulnerability. Whether reflecting on saccharine memories or erupting into crescendos of unfiltered power, she commands the room with an otherworldly intensity. Backed by lush instrumentation or standing solo with nothing but a guitar and a heartbeat, her performances are a visceral collision of intimacy and spectacle. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Emme has shared stages with renowned artists like Usher, Danielle Ponder, and Grace Bowers. Her performances include iconic venues and events such as The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Grand Ole Opry, Fenway Park, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Riverfront Revival, The Boston Calendar, and the Boston Book Festival. Born and raised in Virginia, she was shaped by the traditions of local theater and the guidance of seasoned musical mentors, laying the foundation for her unmistakable sound. Her latest releases, "made me heavy" and "why?", take listeners on a sonic journey through shadow and light. From brooding, atmospheric soundscapes to searing guitars roaring behind her voice, these projects showcase her fearless evolution—a perfect balance of grit, grace, and unapologetic truth. Now based in Nashville, Emme Cannon is quickly making her mark in the city’s thriving music community. Performing with the Moga Family Band and continuing to write, record, and collaborate. |
